About this cartoon: The FCC revised the rules of media cross- ownership -- the owning of newspapers, television stations and radio stations by the same owners in the same market -- relaxing the rules on a straight-party vote, Republicans in favor. This can only lead to the further consolidation of voices, and does not benefit the public discourse at all.
Noteworthy: I don't know if there is a KMJR or KMRJ (and don't really want to know). The newspaper was inspired by a cartoon of mine on mergers, located in my Favorites section.
